作品について / About the Work
日常の中に潜む、見落とされがちな瞬間や、
心の奥に残る感情を、音楽から受け取った感覚とともに再構成した作品です。
タイトルの「How Many More Times / 焦燥」は、
Led Zeppelinの楽曲「How Many More Times」から着想を得ました。
「あと何度、繰り返せばいいのだろう」。
淡々と過ぎていく日常の繰り返しや、
出口の見えない制作の中で感じる焦り。
そのひりつくような感覚もまた、
今の自分を形づくってきたひとつの層だと考えました。
この作品では、その瞬間にあった熱や感情を、
色や素材の重なりの中に残しています。
新聞や印刷物の断片、複雑なマチエールは、
無意識のうちに積み重なってきた時間や記憶の痕跡でもあります。
静かな白やベージュの層の間から見える赤や青、
そして力強い文字。
一見穏やかな表面の下に、
消えることなく残っている焦りや情熱を表しています。
作品を一度見ただけでは気づかない小さな層や痕跡の中に、
時間とともに重なってきた感情の物語を見つけてもらえたらと思っています。

This work reconstructs overlooked moments from everyday life and emotions that remain beneath the surface through sensations received from music.
The title “How Many More Times” was inspired by the Led Zeppelin song of the same name.
The thought, “How many more times must this repeat?” became connected to the repetition of everyday life and the frustration that can emerge during a creative process when no clear way forward can be seen.
Rather than rejecting that sense of restlessness, I began to see it as another layer that has contributed to shaping who I am now.
The intensity of that moment is held within overlapping colors, materials, and traces across the surface.
Fragments of newspaper and printed matter, together with complex textures, suggest memories and periods of time that have accumulated almost unconsciously.
Bright reds and blues, along with strong fragments of text, appear beneath quieter layers of white and beige. They suggest a sense of urgency and passion that continues to pulse beneath an apparently calm surface.
I hope viewers may discover a story within the subtle layers and traces that are not immediately visible at first glance.

この作品は、楽曲の内容をそのまま絵として表現したものではありません。
「How Many More Times」という言葉や、
楽曲から感じた反復、緊張感、積み重なるエネルギーが、
制作の中で素材や色を重ねていく行為とつながっています。
同じような時間を何度も繰り返しているように感じても、
その一回一回には小さな違いがあります。
制作でも、重ねる、覆う、削るという行為を繰り返すたびに、
画面は少しずつ変化していきます。
焦りや葛藤も消してしまうのではなく、
過ぎてきた時間の一部として画面の中に残す。
そのことが、この作品の重要な要素になっています。

This work is not a literal visual interpretation of the song.
The words “How Many More Times,” together with the repetition, tension, and accumulating energy I experienced in the music, became connected to the physical act of layering material and color.
Even when time seems to repeat itself, each repetition contains subtle differences. In my process, the repeated acts of layering, covering, and removing material gradually transform the surface.
Rather than erasing frustration or conflict, I allow those emotions to remain as part of the time that has passed. Their traces become an essential element of the work.
