作品について / About the Work

日常の中で見落とされがちな瞬間や、心の奥に残る感情を、
音楽から受け取った感覚とともに再構成した作品です。

タイトルの「Tomorrow Never Knows / 時間の轍」は、
The Beatlesの楽曲「Tomorrow Never Knows」から着想を得ました。

「明日のことは誰にもわからない」。
だからこそ、今日という時間をどのように生きるのか。
先の見えない不確かさも抱えながら、日々を積み重ねていくことについて考えながら制作しました。

一度コラージュした日々の断片を、あえて白で覆い、
さらにその上から時間を重ねるように絵具を塗っています。

静かな白の層の下からかすかに見える色や、
素材によって生まれたわずかな段差。
その奥には、消えてしまったように見えても残り続ける時間の断片があります。

それらは、私たちが通り過ぎてきた時間が残した
「轍」のようなものなのかもしれません。

完成した画面だけではなく、その奥に積み重なった時間や、
未来へ続いていく気配も感じてもらえたらと思っています。

This work reconstructs overlooked moments from everyday life and emotions that remain beneath the surface through sensations received from music.

The title “Tomorrow Never Knows” was inspired by the Beatles song of the same name.

No one knows what tomorrow will bring.
Because of that uncertainty, I became interested in how we inhabit the present moment and how each day accumulates within us.

Fragments of everyday life were first collaged onto the surface and then deliberately covered with white paint, with further layers added as though time itself were accumulating.

Faint colors visible beneath the quiet white surface and subtle differences in texture reveal traces of what has been covered rather than completely erased.

These traces suggest the paths left behind by the time we have already passed through.

I hope the work can be experienced not only as a finished image, but also as a surface containing accumulated time and a sense of movement toward what has yet to come.

この作品は、楽曲の内容をそのまま絵として表現したものではありません。

「Tomorrow Never Knows」を聴いたときに感じる、
重なり合う音、繰り返し、揺らぎ、そして先の予測できない感覚が、
制作の中で素材を重ね、覆い、再構成していく行為とつながっていきました。

音楽の中では、複数の音が重なり、加工され、
ひとつの新しい響きへと変化していきます。

私の制作でも、紙や言葉、色、記憶の断片を重ね、
一度見えていたものを覆いながら、その上に新しい層をつくっていきます。

白は何もない空白ではなく、
それまでに積み重なったものを包み込む「時間の層」としてこの作品に存在しています。

This work is not a literal visual interpretation of the song.

The overlapping sounds, repetition, instability, and sense of unpredictability I experienced while listening to “Tomorrow Never Knows” became connected to the physical process of layering, covering, and reconstructing materials.

Within the music, multiple sounds overlap, are transformed, and become part of a new sonic structure.

A similar process takes place in my work. Fragments of paper, words, color, and memory are layered together, while things that were once visible are partially covered and incorporated into new surfaces.

The white in this work is not an empty space. It functions as a layer of time, holding what has accumulated beneath it.
