6 Seeds Exhibition Vol.7 — Looking Back on the Exhibition
The 7th edition of the 6 Seeds Exhibition, held from October 21 to 26, 2026, has successfully come to a close.
Thank you to everyone who visited the exhibition.
The 6 Seeds Exhibition is a group show by artists who first met through Yoshiaki Kaneko, author of An Introduction to Abstract Painting.
We have continued to create and experiment freely, guided by our teacher's words: "Expression is free. You can do anything."
Although our teacher has passed away, each of us has continued to nurture what we received from him in our own way. This year marked the seventh exhibition.
In this article, I look back on the exhibition through photographs of the venue and the works on display.
About the 6 Seeds Exhibition
The name "6 Seeds" represents the idea of each artist nurturing, in their own way, the seeds of inspiration we received from our teacher.
Once again, each member explored new forms of expression.
We also worked around a shared theme: printmaking.
Although we began with the same seeds, each artist developed a different approach. This exhibition brought together the individual works of all six artists.

Photographs of the exhibition space and the works on display can be found in the Japanese section above.
Looking Back on the Exhibition
For this seventh exhibition, each of the six artists took on a new challenge compared with the previous year, presenting experimental works.
The individual personalities and approaches came together to create an abstract and engaging exhibition space.
We also explored printmaking as a shared theme. The exhibition included works created using a variety of techniques, such as drypoint, collagraph, and eraser-stamp printing.
My Work in This Exhibition
For this exhibition, I explored the question, "What is useful?" through my artwork and a notebook where visitors could reflect on their own thoughts and experiences.
I have written a separate article introducing the work in more detail, including the ideas behind its creation and some of the responses visitors left in the notebook.
